Well, the flight was late, the luggage was REALLY late (50 minutes), and because of the snow there were no limos available (usually less than $10 more than cab), and the cab lines were 20 deep. Went back across the sky bridge and took the bus to the apartment for $1.25 and a 30 minute ride. The cab would have been a few moments quicker, but not when I would have been in line for 15-20 minutes… and it would have been $40. I like my solution better.
Another half an hour catching up with Chris and trying the Pomegranate Vodka before hay hitting.
Out of bed at 8:30am. Ads to place for Shirts of Bamboo, notes to make. Shanghai Gardens for lunch with Derrick and John of Twango. Looks like I’ve just given over half my life for December and probably January to the later, the former already has half.
Just enough time to straighten the apartment, brush my teeth, and get to the dentist. No traffic — had time to buy a steak and salad at the Pike Place Market for dinner. Great dentist — Kent de Vigne, right in the market.
Straight from the dentist and onto the road. Made the 5:05pm ferry. At home by 6pm and pull 11.8 pounds of mail (yes, I weighed it) out of the mailbox. Thank god I stopped the Wall Street Journal.
No photos of all the downed tree limbs — that will have to wait for daylight — but no holes in the church or the bus — a good sign. And no burst pipes — a better sign.
