So, today’s amusement between work stints was a long walk around downtown, probably an 8 block area (8×8) to photograph all the motel signs. I got this idea from the two that I can see from my new room. I didn’t realize that I’d end up filling up an entire memory card with 44 different motels. Most of the signs are the old style neon roadside sign. Below are four of those.

Dinner with Chris tonight — scheduled for 6pm arrival but a pileup on the freeway puts him in at 6:30. By 7 we’ve had a cocktail and are out the door to the grocery store for, guess, what, steaks and salads and spuds and wine. Seems like the Reno Rut.
Some discussion of the Winter Gathering at Breitenbush since we are both co-coordinators. But an early evening since he’s going back to the mountains.
