Julian left the apartment to work on the house earlier than I. Sent him with a long list of things to do. I stayed to work on paying bills and organizing tax stuff and joined him around noon.
My job for the day was to get the plumbing for the kitchen reconfigured to a more standard location — under the sink instead of coming out of the wall above the sink. This means that I can now attach an icemaker run to the cold water and a dishwasher run to the hot water, and use a standard sink with the holes pre-cut.
Julian basically spent the day in the garage taking down interior walls so I can eventually get two cars in there, and still have room for a woodshop, and maybe even a wine cellar.
The evening meal was steak and asparagus — both broiled. Quick, easy, and one of Chris’ favorite meals.
Today’s odd news item from the Wall Street Journal is about George Washington, Whiskey Entrepreneur.
