Morning Marty breakfast followed by Sawtell Internet time, followed by a trip to the botanical garden in Coffs Bay. Our meat this morning is the lamb sausages from last night that everyone was too full to eat last night. Did I mention the marmalade? Marty is a big fan and we have two different kinds of fig (Eric’s favorite) and one Orange Ginger. Sort of like the Wild Lime Dressing I had with last nights salad.Well, that’s the plan. We’ll see who signs on for this adventure. No concept of what lunch will be. Running tired today. Maybe I’ll stay home.After the botanical garden (which was amazing for it being right in the city) we went to the central shopping district for a look around, and to try and find Joyce a travel agent to book the Cairns, Ayers Rock portions of her trip. She figures she won’t be back anytime soon, so might as well try and do as much as possible (to the tune of $2500, ouch). Flights aren’t cheap, hotel rooms aren’t cheap, escorted tours aren’t cheap.
Marty and I (separately and together) did some shopping for dinner while Eric anchored a bench. Fresh basil, vine riped tomatoes, more lamb chops — had to make a special trip to Woolies for the fresh mozzarella. Odd that the main shopping portion of Coffs Harbour is well away from the beach.
Decided that even though it was overcast I’d go hang out at the pool. The longer I stayed, reading my book — Brand Hijack (a marketing book) — the more hotties showed up at the pool, over 16, which is the legal age of consent in Australia unless you are in Queensland (a joke in itself) where there is a sodomy law still on the books making 18 the age of consent. Dinner was a lovely insalata caprese, little lamb chips (two each, three for Eric and I), sauteed yams (from last nights baked yams), and lots of wine.
