Thankfully the papers weren’t ready so I didn’t have to take the 6:40am ferry. Marybeth and Thomas were up early so coffee was ready for me. Yikes — Thomas at 14 is taller than I am (and way cuter with that long blond surfer hair.
Uneventful drive back to the city other than the car wash eating my rear windshield wiper and mangling the arm (which I re straightened). The van is full with the dryer in the back seat (headed to Olympia), the washer/dryer combo in the far back (to the Seattle house), and miscellaneous stuff packed around all that. Add the hand truck and you have a full load.
Downside is that it doesn’t leave me time to do anything at the house other than drop stuff off, check the mail (snail and e) and head to the apartment to get cleaned up before the symphony. Actually may shower and shave at the house since I didn’t leave any razors at the house. But then I’d have to change the shower head…. decisions, decsions. Nope — will take a razor to the city — less dust on my feet for changing.
Tonight is the symphony with Jimmy, Suzanne, and Helene with dinner before in the Flounder’s Room. Was going to be Nan instead of Suzanne, but Nan got her days mixed up. Whew! Now I can talk about the house I sold and not worry about offending Nan who would have wanted to me to list it with her.
