More messy chores on the new house. Those damn ceiling cans. Nothing like drilling large holes over your head and getting black wool and plaster dust raining down on you… but the last of them are done, and the mess is cleaned up. They aren’t wired in yet, but that’s an attic chore, with more black wool insulation to move around.
Ever multitasking I upgraded the computer operating system on the new desktop to Windows Vista. Took a long time, and knocked out the wireless card (expected that) and unfortunately the EVDO card (but not the card slot). Unfortunately, or fortunately, I’d been thinking about an EVDO router which is a box that the EVDO card plugs into with four Ethernet ports and wireless g. It should be here Wednesday. Got it from the same folks that I got my cell-phone amplifier and antenna rig in the bus (until it goes on the market in a couple of weeks).
Got an offer from the same yahoo on the church property. Don’t know what it is yet, just that there’s an offer on the place and also someone coming up from Seattle to look at the place. It must be spring, real estate is starting to move again.
Dinner at Mick’s tonight — BBQ. Running a little late, we show up for the party (of four) and the food is done, just waiting for the asparagus we brought to be done on the grill. Good conversation and a slightly crazy leg humping bulldog.
I’m exhausted and crash at ten missing Curtis’ repeated calls, and Chris’ complete rearrangement of the apartment.
