Finally got the rolling bed assembled so I’ll have a place to sleep, store my files, my socks, and t-shirts. Sort of an all-in-one. There will be pictures posted on Twango at some point.
Got the wiring done in the kitchen cabinets for the outlet strips underneath the counters… and got all the appliances unpacked — it looks like a department store with the coffee maker, espresso maker, ice cream maker, blender, rice maker, bread maker all in a line (well, the stove breaks up the procession).
Other big news is that I now have a dining table that I actually ate at tonight! Need to get the two armless chairs from the apartment so I can tell if I got the legs in the right position. Maybe I’ll get around to posting pictures tomorrow.
Cleaned up the bathroom, put in a couple of more towel bars and hooks, got a new shower curtain liner and hooks, made new wood shelves for the medicine cabinet and pulled the grate to paint black to match the trim.
Outside I put up a couple of arbors (need one more) for the raspberries to climb up. Wonderful says they are great and I’ll get a ton if I keep them watered — which is what the rain barrels are for. Need to get those hooked up — always something more.
A quiet evening at the house, watching HDTV on one of the 12 channels that I get free — the revenge of rabbit ears in a digital world — why pay for cable. OK — so I don’t get CNN or any of that stuff, but I do get three different versions of our public TV station.
