Sunny (but cool) outside today. Just waiting around for the stove repair guy and doing little projects like writing to Steve, my buddy in prison. Excerpt below:
For my travel schedule Im leaning towards the weekend of the 9th of June for a weekend visit which is when one of the lodges I want to stay at in Glacier opens. Need to check further, and see if it makes more sense to fly to Billings and rent a car, or train to East Glacier and rent a car decisions, decisions. Hopefully thats before most of the schools let out so I wont have a problem getting a room.
Ive included photos from the garden all the iris are starting to bloom, and I noticed that the rose bush is about to start exploding. Jeff (the former owner) planted the yard within an inch of its life now if I can keep from killing it all.
The stove repairman comes today. $300 with travel charges for the first 15 minutes. Hope he can fix it taking a gamble on this beast but its a 6-burner commercial Wolf stove worth thousands (if its working!). It would be nice to get it fixed since Ive been relying on the BBQ to cook all the meat for the last three nights dinners with friends yes, Im entertaining folks by feeding them and then plopping them naked into the hot tub afterwards.
Other projects for today are towel hooks for the pantry (and for robes, too), repositioning the legs on the dining table so I can get four chairs around it, and maybe Ill get to cutting down the leaf and get that varathaned. Its nice to have the furniture out of the garage, even if it still needs to be recovered at least I have a place to sit and watch the boob tube. At the moment there is art leaning against the wall so that needs doing also. Think Ill use a bunch of the same stuff I had in the city apartment as the colors look great. Need to pick up some more pieces on a trip to the island, possibly tomorrow (and a color printer or two).
Enough for now. Got to get to those projects as Greg (last nights guest) might be coming back for seconds (hes in town from Sonoma).
Yes — the yard is in bloom.
