Well, yesterday got an odd bunch of stuff done.
Did all the trim touch up throughout the house (painting all the nail holes), painted three of the walls in the pantry to match the kitchen (and touched up the kitchen at the same time), finished installing the trim on the old duct cover in the hallway, and called Seattle Home Appliance for a service call quote on the stove which I got the answer to this morning…. $300 for the first 15 minutes because of travel time, but they have a guy that specializes in commercial. Please let it work for under $500. He will show up tomorrow between 10 and 2, so no island trip for me tomorrow.
Defrosted six lamb shanks and Jonathan came to dinner and stayed for a hot tub — yes, the hot tub is now up to temperature. Now I just need to install the screening that I bought today at Bamboo Hardwoods. I got the rolled split fencing in 6′x8′ which will go up this afternoon when the chore list is:
- Install fencing
- Vacuum front room
- Haul in the carpet from the car and unroll
- Vacuum the couch and chair in the garage
- Temporarily cover the cushions with something to hide the split seams
- Prep the Greek Salad for dinner tonight with Greg from Sonoma
- Install the door pull I got at Builders Hardware and Supply today
Guess I’d better get at it.
