Faerie Spirit Revival Weekend!

Still no real coffee at the house, but starting at 10am this morning we have the beginning of Faerie Spirit Revival Weekend with Faerie Coffee moved to Swanda in the International District (my old shared digs).

I was surprised to arrive promptly at 10 and find half a dozen people. Damn — usually those faerie boyz run a little late. I brought champagne, actually french sparkling wine (2000 vintage) courtesy of Curt (leftover from the July 3rd trip), but had to go downstairs to buy some juice to go with it (and finally, some coffee for my house).

LuLu was making espresso drinks for everyone — in addition to low-carb waffles (which apparently contain no wheat, but cream cheese and egg yokes) which were tasty. Others showed up with goodies from downstairs — like humbow and shocking orange cookies. Think 18 faeries made an appearance.

Left a little afternoon and came home and took a nap. Should have been making curtains, but was thinking Jonathan was coming to watch/help. He cancelled but Swanda and Sandy (who I mistook for Tracy Lords) showed up around three-thirty for the house tour and gin and tonics (blueberry vodka rocks from Swanda). We got in a little WII action before they headed off to shower and change for their dinner at the Brooklyn.

Me — I started prepping food for tomorrow’s Roving Faerie BBQ — part II of the Faerie Spirit Revival Weekend. Expecting a dozen people to show up. I’m doing an ensalada caprese, a green salad, cole slaw, fresh cherries — and if I get the motivation, bind cherry ice cream and fresh bread. Might add Deviled Eggs to that since I have a bunch of eggs.

Around 8 got a call from John and Joan — fellow South Parkians, though John is now splitting his time between the city and Bellingham. They are coming by for a visit tomorrow to see me and the new digs.

Bedtime.
