9am — the vent hood installation from hell. First of all it’s 36″. Second, three large holes have to be drilled in the cabinets to run the venting. It will be wonderful once it’s in — but oh what a mess. All this and I still don’t have a stove to vent from.
Runs to Home Depot before Kristina comes for lunch.
The Home Depot list:
- 3″x10″ rectangle to 5″ round
- flexible vent pipe (5″)
- duct tape
- rotozip bits (long)
- 3/4 big headed screws
- hot dog for breakfast
It would be nice if it was done by the time Kristina got here at 12:30 or so — but I’m doubtful. Probably have lunch up the street at the Mexican restaurant.
More projects for MoonSong in the afternoon if time — like getting the back gates to open. The stake kit assembled. The lift gate built and wired. Something tells me we ain’t gonna finish it all.
Dinner at Curtis’ tonight — Jameson will meet me there. Guess I’ll be cooking on his equipment — well, not that equipment — his grill. The hot tub should be up to heat by the time we get home — called the service department and they told me how to back flush the system — then I found the giant cockroach that got sucked into the heater body – which explains the overheating — not enough flow.
