So — after a day of serious driving — that would be 8 hours…. I arrive in Eureka, CA — 2 gas stops, one pee brake (maybe I should bring bid bottles!) — with sandwiches and sodas in the cooler by my side.
Purchased a new 410 watt inverter (1000 watts peak) at Fry’s — but apparently SmartMedia cards are old school — as in “not available any more” — guess I’ll have to requisition my photos of the canyon trip.

Arrived around 6pm, lots of questions, we go over my packing list tomorrow to check out what stays and goes. So far, so good. Still have to source all the wine and some of the breakfast/lunch goods. Oh, and all my personal booze.
