10-4 — Another Big Water Day.

On the water by 9:30am this morning. First rapid is Hance, which is a 9 on the ten scale. Leslie went swimming for the entire length of Hance — was in the rubber kayak, no helmet. 10-3 — Day 7, Big Water.

Left at 10:30 because we are having a small day after yesterday’s plus mileage. Reason: Phantom Ranch — the only chance in the canyon to mail postcards.
