Today was just a day of eating leftovers, and putting around, and making a plumbing parts run.
Damn, new water heaters are expensive! I got the 20 gallon because it was only $10 more than the 10 gallon, and $20 more than the 5 gallon — I was paying no matter what. Guess that means longer showers on the island, and that might be enough to take out the other water heater under the bathroom sink.
Of course, to do that shopping I had to unload the van — giving myself a wicked bruise in the process with metal shelves decided to slide and grab a chunk of my flesh. On the up-side — more shelving is going up in the garage — and more it to come. There might even be space to keep a computer terminal out there (since I have spare equipment).
It’s amazing the amount of time you have if you are planning on entertaining folks for dinner. I actually got all the rest of the films reviewed and a catalog put together for a new venture — vintage erotica in 8mm transferred to DVD. It isn’t cheap, but I need to do it before these films deteriorate any further. It’s refreshing to see actors that aren’t all buffed and implanted to within an inch of their life.
Dinner was an unbalanced meal of… steak. Pan-fried, and damn fine washed down with a bottle of 2005 Ridge Stone Ranch Zinfandel — who needs more. A salad would have been nice, but not worth leaving the neighborhood.
Starting to think about packing for the East Coast trip.
