Lemons into lemonade.
Councilman Curt had to take me to the airport early: lemon.
Lemonade: Got me there early enough to have three cocktails at the Board Room
(closes at 2pm on Turkey Day — a change from last year when they weren’t open at all), a couple of cups of chicken chili, and some vegetables and dip.
Lemonade Deux: Alaska Board Room closed. Anthony’s Sea-Tac open. Three kinds of oysters this evening. Penn Cove — a little metallic. Nisqually Sweet — small, but salty. Barron Point — small, good.
Lemonade Trea: Dunham Three Leg Red (Dunham — in Walla Walla, and the wine-maker’s nickname is Digger, since he’s an undertaker). 2005 — not cheap at $9.95 a glass. But damn fine. Of course, only I can spend $50 (with tip) on an afternoon snack of a dozen oysters and two glasses of wine.
Lemonade Quartro: Early to the gate and got my seats reassigned from 2C on each of the legs to 1C and 1D — LOVE the bulkhead aisle. It annoys me that USAir doesn’t make these available to their partner’s Premier members.
Additional note: Graf just reported in — the Treo 650 lives — the touch screen works again. Bent contacts was the problem – don’t think I sat on it, but you never know.
