Well, according to my mother (who pulls no punches), my blog is boring. Oh well. Glad for the opinion, and I’ll take all others into consideration as well.
Today’s picture:
Yes, this means that most of my holiday wrapping is done except for the 13 solstice presents that are arriving next week (hopefully!). Do you like the decoration on the Chanukah bush? Why yes, that would be dollar bills. I guess that makes it a Money Tree.
Late this afternoon is the annual Tequila and Latke Celebration. So far it’s MoonSong and his lover DeDub, Swanda, Helene, Curtis, Wonderful, and hopefully Missy (so that Helene has one other woman). This tradition goes back to 1989, my first year at Microsoft and the big blizzard that stranded me (and many co-workers) at work. It was the last day of Chanukah and Cindy invited those stuck to snowshoe to her apartment to spend the night. Fourteen people in a one-bedroom apartment. The only food in the house? Costco sized fixings for latkes. The only booze in the house? A half-gallon of Jose Cuervo Tequila. And so the tradition began.

Well maybe I haven’t been reading it long enough or maybe that I have only been off island once (Don twice) Since September, but I have set it as my home page and look forward to it every day-am always disappointed when you haven’t gotten around to making the dialy entry- LOVE the living room and red sofa! For me it is Herb Caen. SOme days better than others but always worth the read.
