What a way to start the new year… waiting in a ferry line at 6:3o in the morning. What was I thinking.
Got back to town at 9:30 and went back to bed to get the remaining several hours of sleep to make a complete eight hours.
But now that I’m back on a decent connection, I can show you the amusing item I found at the dump on Sunday…..
Yes, that would be a warming tray in need of two infra-red bulbs (though it works fine with a couple of high-wattage bulbs). More stainless steel goodies for my collection. Anita is going to be rolling her eyes again with envy. First it was the stainless steel warming oven, and then the half sheet convection oven. Guess it’s time to redo another kitchen!
Spent the afternoon puttering around the house, downloading (and uploading) photos, doing laundry.
Oysters and vodka at Swanda’s late afternoon — and work on his computer to get it to work with his new wide screen monitor/TV. And then getting his new computer to do the same thing. Everything fine except that it appears the network cable is not happy, meaning another service call tomorrow.
The early afternoon turned into 7pm and eleven oysters don’t do much to soak up food. Enter Wonderful and food from Shanghai Gardens and you know why this post is a day late.
