As we go into this election season — I am reminded of the phrase from another election, “It’s the economy, stupid!” With this in mind, today we cancel one wine shipment (Ridge) and cutting the other (Bonny Doon) down to their lowest level. I’d cancel it as well, but as DEWN member #174 I’m loath to give up such a low customer number. It pains me to do it, but belt tighten I must with one of my major consulting gigs unable to keep paying me. The maid fired on Monday, wine clubs slashed on Thursday — it must be the economy, stupid.
For the last couple of days I’ve been seeing very disturbing headlines in the Wall Street Journal, such as today’s story “London Fog: Credit Crunch Pounds UK Economy“.

Nothing like having a huge wave break the windshield out of your car and fill it with salt water. MoonSong and I were headed (separately) out to the island Tuesday morning (rather than inbound), and I’ll tell you that the ride was rocky.
