8am comes early when you need to be presentable and caffeinated. “Owner Re-Education” otherwise known as “You Really Need More Credits!” was the early-bird $75 worth ofAMEX cards — and I had to work for it this time — hour and a half. That’s the problem with chatting, but I did get some interesting information from it (for once):
- a week in Spain might be available in late May even though it’s out of the time period for the cheapo RCI $200 coupon
- the sales rep’s husband is serving time at Sheridan in the “camp” section — that would make it white collar crime (and WHY do I know about Sheridan?)
- the historic cottages at the WorldMark Deer Harbor on Orcas are dumps (so I booked one for Thursday night to find out)
- that there is a Wyndham Exchange place in San Antonio
- still no word on a Portland WorldMark unit
Check out at noon — to find my mirror smacked down three inches and cracked — and a massive key or luggage scratch four feet long on the drivers side door of the bimmer. Not happy. This is not the right time for me to be paying a deductible.
Only slightly cured by a nice drive home via the “other” route — up through Naselle (former home of Curt’s now deceased father). On the way we saw the remnants of a logging truck accident — didn’t look like a person could survive what the cab looked like.
Off to the island in the morning — hopefully pouring foundations. Then I need to build some walls for easy assembly on-site hopefully next week.
