Progress report from yesterday.
- Rebar mounted
- Forms built
- Drain secured
On the next trip up by MoonSong we are ready to pour the footings (finally). Amazing how convoluted projects can get … i.e. the simple turning into the complex, or project creep, whatever you’d like to call it.
11am doctor’s appointment just to get my Ambian prescription renewed — Dr. Bob wouldn’t renew it without seeing me. Guess it’s been two years since I’ve been in — I must be too healthy!
After Dr. Bob it’s off to see if Ron has found my invoice and what he’s paid on it so I can get money out of him. Money would be good — should be enough to cover the mortgage this month. That, and other outstanding bills, should they be paid in time would cover the home equity payment — now THAT would be sweet. For once, a more solvent month.
And then it’s off to Orcas island for the night. I’m finally completing my WorldMark Washington card — i.e. having stayed at all the resorts in Washington State. The resort at Deer Harbor I’ll have to do over in a couple of years since currently it is “pre-rebuild” with it’s original cabins that don’t contain kitchens, but do have private hot tubs for each of them.
The rest of the weeks schedule is up in the air — depends on whether this guy and his wife are coming to look at Bob this weekend. As you might remember, Bob would be the 1980 Bluebird Wanderlodge parked out back at the church. It would be nice to sell Bob. That, too, would help my finances.
Off to put a tarp up to keep the pour area dry for the expected dampness this weekend.

BTW: Lynne was STELLER last night in Fiddler on the Roof. As was Robert- DIdn’t know he had that voice. If you can stay on island, you can probably get a seat between Tonight and Sunday (2 performances on Sun.
