Well — as always there are “issues” and “complications. And the “potting shed” is no different a project. What’s that phrase? “It takes three trips to the store to complete a plumbing project.” Two trips to the store today, and we aren’t done.
Here is what we arrived to:
We solved the mud problem by putting down boards and left-over tar paper. Once this is done I’ll dump a couple of hundred pounds of chipped rock back there to keep the muck down.
By the end of the day, here is the scene:
I’ll be able to pot some really big plants in this baby. We even christened it with a ritual soaping and hosing down of the construction crew. That would be a first for the church — Holy Water in both hot and cold.
Lynne came over for a VERY informal dinner off the BBQ. We had a little lamb, a little beef steak, and a lot of pork. Lynne brought a steamed artichoke the size of a softball — but it was tender and meaty — and the heart was three times the size of a normal choke.
Tomorrow the roof goes on and the rest of the siding and batons follow. Wow — almost done.
