A lazy day around the daylight basement. I made a run to the Powell Street Plaza to hit BevMo and Trader Joes. Rest of the afternoon was listening to one sided conference calls that Lunetta had booked back-to-back.

I’m the chef for dinner tonight and they were out of salad, wine, and whiskey. The latter one was my fault.

The plan for dinner (which was arranged at the last minute last night) is a bed of greens with Pear Gorgonzola dressing topped with tail on shrimp, sea scallops, and sautéed bacon bits. It turned out stunningly.

A great evening of eating cross-legged on the floor on the coffee table – it’s the only place that seats 5.

Another late night – but now I’m a little worried because my throat is scratchy – can we blame it on the Trader Joe’s Meatball samples?
