Arrive noonish in Kona, and pick up the rental car — a bright yellow jeep. Check-in at the WorldMark Kona isn’t until 4pm, but they have a hospitality suite to stuff all your bags into, or yourself if you just want to chill while waiting for your room to be ready.

Lunch at Huggos, which is just up the road, and then off to the Safeway to do some shopping. Lots of Ahi Poke — love the stuff. Basically got enough food for three days.
