So, this is a really short blog entry as we work our way across town to Martin and Brians for this month’s poker game. This is a test of the EVDO system while in motion. No, I’m not driving. Curt is.

Basically it has been a lazy day, doing the laundry and dishes, remaking the bed for Chris’ arrival in the city apartment tomorrow sometime. I’m off to Olympia today to play poker — and a stop by the rental house where they are all home, and glad to see me (though apologizing for the mess). Finally met Nick, the new roommate, who wants to fix things around the house, reseed the lawn, fix the fence, paint the trim in his room. Nice guy.

Curt isn’t home when I swing by, so I go to visit Dwight — who is amazed at the router/switch that I picked up at Boeing Surplus on the way down to Olympia — it was basically the same model he wanted for his home office, and I found it for $15 with cables, he paid me thirty bucks for it without the cables (which I need for my patch panel). Guess I’ll have to stop on the way back from the ocean and pick up another one (or two).

Poker is at Martin and Brians — complete with the StarTrek shrine. It’s big fun. Lots of tapas — enough to make a meal.
