I love entering those contests where you have to write a little hundred word essay on why you need something. I did that a year ago with Bulleit Bourbon and ended up winning a nice backpack which I gave to Julian since the pockets were in an odd configuration for my laptop — but it had iPod holders and ear bud slots, and nice embroidery of the logo.
Today’s contest is win a bar from Guinness. Includes Guinness pump system, vintage logo glassware, coasters, towels. Not a bad thing to have, even if I would have to rearrange the deck for it.
My entry:
As a man of the cloth, with only a small congregation, I find that sometimes a little spiritual guidance over a pint works much better than a pounding lecture from the pulpit. When the flock can let its hair down and loosen up a bit – suddenly their troubles seem a little easier. We have a nice corner of our activity room that would be well suited for such a divine gift from our brothers in Ireland. I might mention that several of our elders are second generation Irish. Peace be with you all.
