Bay Area Bachelor, Tonight.

Checked out at noon — jut under the wire.

Curvy drive back to 101 south — stopped in Santa Rosa (or there abouts) for Carne Asada in a strip mall (how appropriate since it’s strip steak in Carne Asada) — which was stunning good, or I was stunned from hunger.

Gassed up — 20.5 mpg on the last tank — it seems to be going down.

Hit Berkeley about 3:30 — and really needed a nap, from the lunch, but didn’t get one. Unloading, catching up, stuff.

At 5 killed the rest of the GlenWhatEver before catching up on business work, then making dinner for the boys (Mark and Onyx). Tried to replicate the carrot recipe from the Basque restaurant in Gulf Port that Dan and I escaped to during GeckoFest. My version was baby carrots sauteed in butter, a little olive olive, frangelico, touch of nutmeg, touch of pepper. The boys loved them — and they were good, not as good as the Basque place, but not bad. Rest of the meal was an Indian spinach dish, and pupu platters of leftover warmed up bbq’d pork (from last night), cheese and avocado. Damn fine snacking (but filling) menu. Steele’s Shooting Star Black Bubbles (sparkling syrah) was the dinner drink.

Immediately after dinner we are all back on computers — Onyx has a build due, Lunetta is helping, and me — no bedtime until blogtime.

The evening drink is more scotch courtesy of Lunetta.

Night all.
