Feeling Overwhelmed.

Feeling a little overwhelmed at the moment. I just got back home, but already more out of town plans are stacking up.

Next commitments are:

  • Lopez for New Year’s
  • Victoria (and maybe Vancouver), January 5th-9th
  • St. Petersburg, FL, January 13-17th (still tentative)
  • Mexico’s Copper Canyon, January 22nd-29th
  • Breitenbush,  February 14-19

Yikes!

And speaking of travel, I made it home last night. With deicing and what not we were running about 30-45 minutes late — and I realized that seat 10A on the 737 even without the seat in front of you (missing due to the emergency exit) is still uncomfortable since I feel trapped. Must have an aisle seat.

But I did make it home. The flight before me was cancelled, and the flight after me was cancelled. Needless to say, if they’d been allowed to let people ride in the bathroom, they would have filled those seats as well.

Flights before and after? both were 757-200s that hold 24 first class and 158 economy and economy plus passengers — the total of the two flights cancelled? 364. That’s 364 pissed off people trying to fit onto a 737-300 that seats 112 in economy and economy plus and 8 up in first.

 Ouch!

And on a totally different topic, here is today’s quote from someones online profile. It touched me with the truth contained therein:

Rules to live by: A person, who is nice to you, but rude to the waiter, is not a nice person. (This is very important. Pay attention. It never fails.)

Are you addicted to travel? I am such a homebody I couldn’t imagine being away from home so much. Have you considered downsizing and just living in the timeshare condo’s full time? Or the bluebird?
    :-):-):-)

If you are going to be here for new years plan to come by for some grog- and if you wouldn’t mind or if it isn’t too much trouble; bring the scanner (slide) so that we can determine if I can make it work.
