Finally — enough spare time to get the hot tub cleaned up and re-inflated and refilled. A break in the weather made bleaching the inside a little easier. It didn’t start raining until the end of the process, but I still froze my hands off with a drippy hose to rinse and fill everything.
Doesn’t it look nice — too bad that’s the promo marketing shot rather than my back deck. My towels hang just inside the door, and the deck is wood, not brick. It seemed easier to cut and paste than to shoot a picture of mine, size and upload it.
Now all I have to do is wait a couple of days for it to come up to temperature. It’s run off a 110 circuit so the heating time is slower (but cheaper in terms of electricity). Last time I checked it was 61 degrees. I don’t need a cold plunge this time of year — talk to me during a summer heat wave and I might have a different answer.
Just a quiet day around the house reading the Wall Street Journal, the New Yorker, the mail. Jonathan was off to work this morning at a little after nine — nice to have company in the house even if it’s only temporary. Sounds like his psychotic roommate is actually starting to move stuff out of the house (she was evicted and due out at the end of today).
One interesting note (well, at least to me) is I was cruising Craig’s List yesterday and found an interesting new career opportunity. I think it would be a great match for my skills and their needs. Luckily I had an old resume (from 1997!) still on my servers to use as a template. Spent the afternoon working on the resume and cover letter to send off for peer review before I submit it tomorrow. I’ll keep everyone updated.
