The regular day at the shop – a 6-hour shift – but its pre-xMess season so all bets are off. Memorial moments:

• 6-bottle case of 2002 vintage champagne for his direct reports ($50 each) and a 1996 ($64) for himself (and 4 other bottles)
• Pickup of special order of cases of Prosecco, also for employees
• Another customer ordering a special order case

It didn’t hurt that I was tasting dessert wines…

And then there was the pay ($30 plus tax) Vintage Champagne Tasting of five bubbles starting at $50 and topping out at $95. The bad “selfie”:

Got home around eight for a little steak and salad after a good dollar-wise day at the shop – worthy of a good Saturday, let alone a Sunday.
