They Should Sell Real Estate.

Well, BA should sell real estate — the pictures looked gorgeous, but the reality is something more cramped.

Thankfully I was facing backwards (which was odd for landing) in the end row, so there weren’t feet to step over to get out, but I wouldn’t be happy paying $3K round-trip for these seats. I’d rather sedate myself with scotch and Ambien and stay in the back. Not bad for free.

Ended up watching less than one movie, eating dinner, a little champagne, scotch, and cognac — but I was out for a restless sleep until we landed.

Immigration was slow…. lots of old Indian couples (dot, not feather) cutting into line, and to top it off — we get to bag reclaim, and wait for another half an hour for bags (after the hour in the immigration lines). Luckily train isn’t until a little after 8pm.

Transfer by tube to Euston Station — light traffic on the line since it’s Sunday. Dinner at the Britannia in Euston Station — I’ve eaten there before, it has one thing going for it. Convenient. Have to carry luggage up the stairs, and it’s smokey, but the food is fresh, albeit, not especially healthy, though I did have the mediterranean salad.

Our sleeping compartment is, well, small. With two peoples luggage we are stumbling across each other while making nightcaps. Luckily we are both dead tired.

Sleep mostly through the night — next time. Ambien with scotch, and the window shade down.
