Up at 8:30am for coffee and croissants — thanks MoonSong.
Today’s schedule is to load some art and boxes into the van, pack up and leave. Who knows which ferry back — can’t believe the huge lines yesterday — on a Wednesday. MoonSong showed up at 9:30 for a 10am ferry, and the line was so long, he was the LAST car on. Hopefully better today. Choices are 10, 12:30, or 2pm. Wish us luck.
We spend the morning getting the Legs of Christ moved off the wall and into the car so that it can go to Mr. Wonderful’s Art Restoration Studio. Around it we pack globes, more art, trinkets, jewelry, the flotsam and jetsam of my life.
The 12:30 ferry goes smoothly — and we stop at the Greek Island restaurant for lunch, where the water pourer is the daughter, the hostess/waitress inĀ mom is traditional dark clothing, and dad or uncle or husband is in the back cooking. A great meal with portions too large, but that’s why they have doggie bags. Joyce and I get to fight over who is the doggie.
Of course, just like the way over, the lunch stop means we hit Seattle just in time for rush hour…..
Dinner tonight is London Broil on the grill. Went up the hill to Safeway looking for steaks or chicken (I’m sure Jameson would prefer chicken)…. but as always, went for what looked good. Nice big green salad with the leftover Greek Salads mixed in and we are good to go.
Crashed early — damn stomach flu.
