A whirlwind in the morning with Joyce packing for her trip to Portland to visit some distant cousin. She is staying at the Benson, and I told her about Powell’s Books — which will be dangerous, but fun for her.

A quick stop to show off the apartment (and pick up boxes). Each time I visit, I remember how much I truly like that apartment. Maybe Swanda will give it up next year and I’ll move back…. guess that would mean selling the house and giving up the garage.

Joyce loved Uwajimaya — the grocery store downstairs — said it would be her dream to have such convenience and selection. But I doubt she will give up Riverside (Ca).

Got her to the train station, helped her repack her overweight checked bag — and off I went to the Teatro Zinzanni yard sale. Got a few things, but nothing noteworthy except for a couple of things for Swanda which I won’t describe since I know he reads this blog — gotten burnt by that before!

Rest of the day was spent puttering around the house feeling like I’m still not completely firing on all cylinders, but basking in the peace and quiet with Joyce headed to Portland, and Jameson at work and gone to Oly after that.

I am a social person — but I need my downtime to be that person.
