Ah — the season of cute skiers and snowboarders has launched in Red River. After breakfast (scrambled eggs with leftover pork) I wandered around town in the rental car, stopping at all the other chair lifts in town, taking some pictures, and then checking the grocery store, and stopping by the post office for stamps and pre-stamped envelopes (post cards to Steve, articles to Swanda and Curt).
Very calm afternoon of laundry (to get all the dirt off my jacket that routinely gets dragged across airport floors), reading, surfing. Even took a hot tub this afternoon right before cocktail hour — timing was a little bad — the lift shuts down at 4pm — but there is a great view from the tub.
I’d upload pictures except for two problems. 1) my laptop hates the 2gig media card in my camera, and I forgot to clean it up before I left, and 2) the Internet service here at the WorldMark Red River prohibits access to “file storage and backup systems” (along with any “adult” site).
Dinner is bockwurst on the grill, stir fried snap peas and a nice spinach salad. Add the remainder of the wine from last night, and you haveĀ a feast set for one (unless I manage to get a date, and then it will be tight).
What a relaxing way to get out of one’s routine — or IS THIS my routine?
