Packing, Taxes, & Bills.

Packing, or is that unpacking and repacking, or maybe just choosing the right bags to take. Guessing by a piece of email today from Kate who is part of the upcoming Copper Canyon trip, I’m thinking it’s not going to be as warm as I was hoping.

Should our packing list change with the seasons?

In Spring and Summer it is hot and dry during the day in El Paso and Chihuahua, cool at night. In Spring, Creel is cool at night and in the morning, pleasant for the rest of the day. El Fuerte can be humid and hot, especially in summer, so take a sun hat. In the winter months you may see some snow at the higher elevations. In Spring and Fall, take a light jacket. For winter, take a heavy jacket, scarf, gloves and warm pajamas. But don’t forget those t-shirt layers for El Fuerte where the temperature will be much warmer! And always, don’t forget the sun block, bug spray, a good supply of wet wipes, anti-diarrhea medicine and a travel alarm clock! .

So much for shorts and T-Shirts — I love the line “warm pajamas” — what, there’s no heat in these hotels? No computer this trip, nor noise cancelling headphones. Just the computer and the camera. I just don’t feel like worrying about expensive electronics staying it different hotels most nights while in Mexico.

One thing that has to happen is that I need to get my quarterly state taxes calculated and paid. Just one more thing to get done — well, that, and the bills that need to get paid before I can jet away on Tuesday.

I’d best get to it since there isn’t anyone coming to dinner tonight — just a run to Swandas for a pick up and drop of of miscellaneous stuff.

LATE UPDATE:

Spent the evening working on posting films to one of Dan’s web site’s for a venture I’m doing of transferring vintage erotica from 8mm to DVD. That being done, guess I’d better get to work on getting new T-shirt designs posted to the Shirts of Bamboo site.

Take a couple sets of shorts and tees, being from the SW this time of year can fool you. and you will be even further south.
