What a day. Dentist at 9am — and no nitrous — saved $55. Probably saved another $75 by saying no to x-rays. Yes, we are in a recession. Even I’m pinching my pennies.
I haven’t had a teeth cleaning since I was 13 without nitrous — and now I know why. Ouch. Guess I’d better get a job to pay for drugs next time — almost ralphed on Dolphin the Dentist.
After the dentist — the funk set in. I didn’t have breakfast before the dentist and pasted the Pecos Pit on the way home — no open. Went home, came back an hour later on the way to Swandas to pick up mail. Damn they do pork.
I worked on the funk with reading the Wall Street Journal — now THAT’s the way to get out of a rain and recession induced funk.
The nap did more good — was actually able to go out to the garage and start working on the roof component of the “potting shed”. Think massive amounts of custom cuts to get this low profile roof — in ASCII it would look like this:

Maybe I should just scan the bad sketch I made.
Graf — Mr. Hardware — came for dinner and WII. Chicken breasts in a Mole Verde, spinach in dressing, steamed asparagus with hollandaise and bread from last night. the graham in the bread was more appreciated by the the Swiss-German Graf than Fluffernutter of the White Bread World.
Follow dinner by an hour of WII bowling — which I skunked Graf on, but he did point me in the direction of an Opera based browser for my WII unit — $5.00, but of course you have to buy $10 worth of credits — so I used the other $5 for a version of PacMan for my machine.
And all this lead to the fact that the WII now supports USB keyboards, including wireless ones!
USB Keyboard Compatibility
Available for download on October 10, 2007, Wii Menu Version 3.1 provides USB keyboard compatibility for some of the system features of Wii. A keyboard inserted into a USB port on the console can be used for text input and specific button controls. For instance, this can make typing Message Board messages easier. For instructions on downloading the latest version of the Wii Menu, click here.
In addition, on October 10, the Internet Channel was updated to also allow the use of a USB keyboard while surfing the net (see below), and the Everybody Votes Channel was updated to provide improved efficiency and an improved display for the National Results by Region.
