We woke up this morning in Ketchikan, Alaska. Day three of our seven day cruise and the first time I’ve had free access to the Internet so far this trip.

How? My new cell phone tethered to my computer boosted by a 3watt signal amplifier. What?

The big black spot on the window is the antenna for the booster, the smaller silver one is the GPS receiver so we know where in Alaska we are, the amplifier is on the floor, the phone is leaning against the coffee cups, and I’m working away.

Lunch today is going to be sit-down rather than buffet. Maybe we’ll even have a glass or two of wine.

Short entry today since we leave port (and cell-phone signal) at 1:30 and Jonathan still have to book a flight to Utah.
